We Help Students
Understand Scientific
We start by identifying exactly where your child is struggling, whether it's applying formulas in physics, or interpreting data in biology, and tailor each lesson to match their school curriculum and learning pace.
Our tutors break down complex science concepts using clear explanations, visuals, and relatable analogies, so your child doesn’t just memorize terms, they actually understand how and why things work.
We focus on long-term learning outcomes. That means helping students solve real science problems, prepare for upcoming tests, and gain the confidence to ask questions and engage in class again.
All sessions are scheduled around your availability, including evenings and weekends, and take place in your home for maximum comfort and consistency.
At Tutoriva, we take this research seriously, and apply it through a proven, structured approach that helps students:

We offer in-home math tutoring that targets exactly where the students are stuck. We meet at their level and walk them through every concept with patience and clarity. Here's a breakdown of the specific topics we help students:
We help students make sense of life sciences by building their understanding of:
Cell structure, organelles, and functions
Mitosis, meiosis, and cell division
DNA, RNA, protein synthesis, and gene expression
Human body systems (nervous, circulatory, digestive, etc.)
Photosynthesis and cellular respiration
Evolution, natural selection, and adaptation
Ecosystems, food chains, and biogeochemical cycles
Genetics, Punnett squares, and heredity
Lab skills, data analysis, and experimental design
We simplify chemistry’s abstract ideas and help students solve problems in:
Atomic structure, isotopes, and electron configuration
Periodic table trends (ionization energy, atomic radius, etc.)
Ionic, covalent, and metallic bonding
Balancing chemical equations and reaction types
Stoichiometry and mole conversions
Acids, bases, pH, and titrations
Solutions, solubility, and concentration
Gas laws (Boyle’s, Charles’s, Ideal Gas Law)
Endothermic vs. exothermic reactions
Lab safety, error analysis, and report writing
Physics
We help students break down formulas and concepts in:
Motion, speed, velocity, and acceleration
Newton’s Laws of Motion and force diagrams
Work, power, energy, and conservation laws
Momentum and collisions
Gravity, friction, and circular motion
Waves (mechanical, sound, light) and wave equations
Electricity: circuits, Ohm’s Law, resistance, voltage
Magnetism and electromagnetism
Heat transfer, thermodynamics, and specific heat
Data interpretation, graphing, and units of measurement
Science Tutoring for Every Grade Level and Learning Needs
Our in-home tutoring is flexible, respectful, and tailored to each student’s unique needs. Whether they need help passing a test, understanding their lab work, or catching up after weeks of confusion, we’re ready to support them academically and developmentally.
We build a strong foundation in science through interactive lessons on energy, ecosystems, weather, and the human body, using visuals, real-life examples, and a pace that keeps younger learners engaged.
Tutoring starts with a quick check of your child’s strengths, gaps, and current math class materials. This way, every session directly supports what they’re learning in school and what they actually need to improve.
We support students with ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning needs through patient, step-by-step instruction—using visuals, repetition, and tailored strategies aligned with IEPs or 504 plans.
Many students fall behind in science, not because they lack ability, but because the material is rushed, confusing, or taught in a way that doesn’t match how they learn. That’s exactly where Tutoriva makes a difference.
We don’t move on until it makes sense. Our tutors specialize in breaking down complex science topics like chemical equations or motion formulas into simple, logical steps. We use diagrams, real-world analogies, and guided practice to make concepts stick.
Students who are behind don’t need more stress, they need someone who understands. Our tutors are calm, encouraging, and skilled at adjusting explanations until your child genuinely understands. There’s no rushing or judgment, just steady progress.
We teach students how to think critically, analyze patterns, and solve multi-step questions on their own.
Some students are visual. Others need repetition. Some need to talk it out. We tailor our sessions to your child’s specific learning style and adjust the pace, format, and practice methods to match what works best for them.
Our goal is to give students the skills and mindset to succeed in future science classes. We help them build real confidence, so they stop second-guessing and start participating with certainty.
You can choose a session plan that matches your child’s current academic situation:
1 session per week for steady support and homework guidance
2 sessions per week for students who need structured review and test prep
3 sessions per week for students who are behind in multiple topics or preparing for AP or end-of-term exams
We also offer flexible rescheduling for families whose availability changes due to school events or seasonal activities. You won’t be locked into a rigid schedule, our tutors coordinate directly with you to ensure consistent progress, even when life is busy.

Visit our website and fill out the “Get Started” form with your name, contact information, your child’s grade level, and the science subject they need help with (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
Prefer to talk? You can also call us directly to speak with our coordinator about your child’s situation and schedule.
We Schedule a Free 15–20 Minute Consultation Call
Once we receive your form, we’ll contact you within 24 hours to schedule a brief phone consultation. During this call, we’ll:
Learn about your child’s current struggles in science
Ask about their school schedule, availability, and learning style
Review any goals you have (catching up, test prep, exam readiness, etc.)
Recommend a session frequency (e.g. 1x/week, 2x/week) based on their needs
Choose a Tutoring Plan That Works for You
After the consultation, you’ll receive an email with:
A recommended session frequency
A breakdown of hourly or package pricing options
Available tutoring time slots that match your schedule
A brief profile of the tutor we recommend based on your needs
You’ll select your preferred plan and schedule, then confirm via email or phone.
Book Your First Session
Once you confirm your plan, we’ll schedule your first session at your preferred date and time, either in the same week or the following, depending on tutor availability. You’ll receive a calendar invite and a welcome email with everything you need to know before the session.
Your assigned tutor arrives at your home as scheduled and begins working with your child on the topics you discussed. Sessions are fully customized to your child’s pace and skill level.
After each session, we track your child’s progress and can provide regular updates at your request.
You’ll receive a monthly progress snapshot or updates upon request
You can easily add, reschedule, or pause sessions as needed
